Weekend Funnies

Everyone remember Shy Ronnie?

It's recently come to my attention that there's a sequel.

The Oscars are coming....

Sesame Street is so much cooler than when I was a kid...

Weekend Funnies

This may very well be the last Weekend Funny lot before I go away, as I'm sure next Friday (the night before I leave) will be spent in an Indian restaurant. So here goes...

Snap like you mean it!

Language warning on this...

Weekend Funnies

Been a bit remiss in the Weekend Funnies department lately, so let's do something to fix that, hmm?

Possibly the best ad ever -

You know - this actually makes a lot of sense...

It's a bit sad that some girls are actually like this...

Weekend Funnies

Well I made it through friday the 13th without a piano falling on my head, so I call that a win! On with the funnies...

Felicia Day may be one of the coolest girls ever to grace the planet. This is the new promo for "The Guild" -

I love Allie Brosh's blog "Hyperbole and a Half", and she's started doing little animations with her cartoons. This is a re-enactment of what happened to her as a child...

A real 80's eye makeup tutorial! So...much...blue...ack!

Weekend Funnies

The funnies belong to one video only this week.

It is a truth universally acknowledged that any lady in possession of a glass jaw, must be in want of a mouth-guard...

Weekend Funnies

I've been watching a bit of Armstrong and Miller on YouTube lately. They're a bit like my beloved Mitchell & Webb (but not quite as good, in my opinion).

This is in a similar vein to M&W's legendary Mr Darcy: Disco Champion skit :)

What do you get if you cross Vicky Pollard, a gangsta rapper, and Biggles?
Something like this -

I don't think there's anything here we don't already know :)

Weekend Funnies

I want one of these. I will love him and pet him and call him George.
Lucas, that is :D

The newest Old Spice commercial is so full of win I almost forget how much I hate the smell of Old Spice

And on the subject of sex and men...(probably not work-safe!)

Weekend Funnies

For my Weekend Funnies today, I thought it would be interesting to take a look at some funny dance sequences.

I'm sure you guys can come up with plenty more, but these are the ones that spring to mind first for me....

Come to East Germany! With waltz you get free political satire...

Ah, remember the good 'ol days when Val Kilmer was hot? Good times...

As a kid, that's what I thought those bumps in the male ballet dancer's hose were for...
Well - that and keeping Goblins in check -

Er...yes. Moving on....

Good-looking, slightly nerdy underdog?
Check.
Fad all the teenagers are into at the time
that won't date the movie at all?
Check.
Feisty but cute love interest?
Check.
Aryan looking, uber-pricky bully?
Check.
Must be 1986's "Rad", with the best BMX dance number ever committed to film...

SWEEP THE LEG, CRU! Oh, sorry. Wrong film...

Flashmobs in McDonalds. Just a typical day in the 80's -

Everyone knows the only way to win a dance contest is by doing gymnastics,
duh!

And lastly - how could you go past punchdancing (make sure you watch this one to the end)...

Weekend Funnies

Kaz - I'm trying really hard to tell my Marvels from my DCs - see?

Congrats to my adopted home city of Melbourne, who today got the Guinness World Record for most people dressed as Superheroes in one place!

These are some of the cuties there today -

Photo: Alex Coppel

Ian McKellen's in the hizzouse, bwoi!

I don't watch Idol (Aussie or US versions) so it took me a while to hear about this, but please load the vid, then skip to 4:15 and
kneel to your queen!

Weekend Funnies

Ah, the weekend! It's a glorious autumn Saturday morning. The sun is shining, the air is crisp, the leaves are falling. And I have to go to work. Ugh.
Here's this week's funnies and a few of my favourite music mash-ups to cheer me up...

100% passion. 100% danger. 100% cotton.

The Clash vs Stevie Wonder -

The Prodigy vs Dee-Lite -
